    Set List

Ok, actually may not be an "advanced" question, but I have been doing this a while and haven't figured it out, so please bear with me. I am a drummer and have been building loops and playing live with them for years with Reason (Propellerheads). I have been using Live for about a year or so, and my Keyboard player has been building alot of the loops for Live, and we have some from IWL as well (and I have started building with it as well, as I also use Logic and it has similarities). I like Live, but so far I cannot find how to line up several songs in order. I know the whole purpose is to be able to make a set and play "live" but all that I can tell is possible is to link several sections of one song together in a file. I do NOT want to have to change each song file every set. In Reason, I can just cascade my windows (songs) in order of set list and just grab the next window. In Live, I can only have one window open. So, QUESTION: How can I sit down before the gig/worship service and easily setup my set list of song after song after song so that i can end one song and kick into the next song QUICKLY?????? Any help? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Tons of thanks for any help! This truly is a great site. When I started playing with loops several years ago, it changed my life! Since then, I almost always play with a click track or loops. If there are any drummers that are leery to try it, get used to playing with a click track (a must in a professional setting anyway) and go for it. It is your next step in becoming a professional musician. Derrick

    Re: Set List

     Derrick,

This is covered in the Training Video on our site called "Building a Custom Sunday."  This will show you how to change tempo, grid a session to the tempo, and drop in your tracks.  Once you've done a few time you can build a set in 15 to 20 minutes.  Feel free to post any further questions in this thread.

    Thanks,

    IWL
