Is it ok to use firewire 800 for external hard drives on my mac book pro or do you recommend fw400 instead.
FW 400 has been the industry standard, but you can get a cord that goes from 400 to 800 and use an 800 drive with your 400 connection on your mac. FW 800 is faster so you shouldn't have an issue tom my knowledge.
